Exhibitions

The Exhibitions Program presents local, regional, national and international artists, as well as arts organizations, curators and collection lenders, in all disciplines and genres.

Programming includes educational and interactive components such as demonstrations, gallery talks, receptions, residencies and workshops. Five to seven featured exhibitions are scheduled annually from September through July to comprise the season. Each season includes a diversity of topics, mediums and stimulating experiences to best serve target audiences and the community-at-large. Our eclectic programming encourages curiosity, improves quality of life, rewards patronage and supports artists in our region.

Exhibition Opportunities

Featured exhibitions programming is developed from an on-going Call For Proposals. This process empowers artists, art educators, curators, collectives, gallerists, and collection lenders to be considered for exhibitions programming opportunities. The community-based Exhibitions Program Advisory Committee serves in an advisory role, working under the direction of the Cultural Arts Supervisor in collaboration with the Grand Foundation, to review and recommend proposals for featured exhibitions and associated events.

Artists can also consider exhibiting individual or small groupings of works in our curated, cooperative artspace; Art Co-Opted in the South Gallery. The Co-Op features combinations of original artwork, limited editions and artist-designed products with low price points ($500 and under).

Download the current CALL FOR PROPOSALS for more information. This document contains information for both exhibition opportunities as well as a floor plan of the galleries. The Cultural Arts Supervisor who directs the Exhibitions Program is available to assist you through the proposal process.
