Tracy Cultural Arts Issues Call For Arts Instructors
Tracy, Calif. - The City of Tracy Cultural Arts Division is now accepting applications from arts instructors who wish to teach at the Grand Theater Center for the Arts, which will open in downtown Tracy this fall.
The 37,000 square foot Center will be an interdisciplinary arts facility containing two theaters, a fine arts gallery and nine studio classrooms. Its full-time Arts Education Program will provide private and group classes in dance, drama, music and the visual arts. Short-term programs such as seminars, demonstrations and workshops will be offered as well.
"We are looking for skilled candidates who can contribute high educational value to our Arts Education Program, advance student learning and offer creative and fun classes to the community," says Arts Education Coordinator Vanessa Amezquita. "We seek instructors who have arts backgrounds in teaching, working or studying professionally and who will offer classes that Tracy residents will enjoy and have fun taking. We want to encourage participants to become lifelong learners in the arts."
As many as 150 instructors are needed to teach for the Fall 2007-Summer 2008 year. Deadline for applications is May 15, 2007. For application and proposal information, contact Arts Education Coordinator Vanessa Amezquita at vanessa.amezquita@ci.tracy.ca.us or (209) 831-4056.
